My memories of this refreshing drink go back as far as I can remember. On long days of work down on the farm mid afternoon breaks were welcomed with everyone gathering under the coolness of the big Mimosa tree. During the lazy, hazy and hot summer try quenching your thirst with a tall cool glass of sun tea!
By using the sun to brew the tea you save on the cost of energy.
You use less tea bags too, with savings when buying groceries.
Sun Tea Recipe
1 gallon glass jar
1 gallon water
4 small tea bags
or
2 large tea bags
Fill jar with water. Tie tea bags together by the strings. Add to jar of water. Let tags hang over top. Screw on lid. Set in sun for 4 hrs.
